Are shutters more expensive than blinds?

Not always. Especially when you buy with us. We offer by far the lowest priced and highest quality shutters on the market. Blinds are priced on price grids and value will vary depending on size. With shutters, they are priced per square foot and we have no square foot minimums like most companies. Also, with shutters your value will be consistent throughout your home.

Do shutters have an affect on my home's value more so than blinds?

Yes, they do. Shutters are the only window coverings that are considered built in and therefore affect your appraisal price. Even more importantly, they give curb appeal like no other product out there. People will remember looking at your home when it goes up for sale. Keep in mind, not all shutters are considered built in because not all of the companies out there frame them. However, Advanced Windoware completely frames every one of their shutter units.

Do all of our products come installed?

Yes, they do and at no extra charge to you. Also, if you need us to ship them to you, we can usually provide shipping at no additional charge.

Can I install my own products?

If you live near one of our stores, we would suggest that we do your installation. But if not, we can walk you through this procedure, as our products are very user friendly and are almost as easy as hanging a picture.

What type of warranty do I get?

All of our products come with lifetime limited warranties, which are backed by all our manufacturers and supported by us! The limited part of this warranty is primarily pertaining to customer misuse and/or abuse.

Are your composite shutters better than vinyl shutters?

Yes, our composite shutters provide the best insulation out there compared to vinyl shutters and they insulate better than blinds or shades.

Will shutters save on my electric bill?

Yes, they will and not only because of the great insulation they provide, but you will have the most versatile window coverings available and they will not take away the natural light when you need privacy. Shutters redirect the natural light and are the only coverings that offer you the ability to direct the light one way on top and then another way on the bottom. These options allow you to turn your lights on less with this product than any other out there. The savings alone in energy over the years will more than pay for the product.

Will shutters make my windows look bulky?

Not at all, because shutters are the only covering that has such large louvers – translating to bigger louvers, therefore fewer louvers, better view! This perception comes from the shutters offered years ago that only came in 1” louvers.
